Back from the Beach Bash w/ Live Music from Ruby n Sue

Posted by:

Wrap up your Memorial Day weekend with our Back From The Beach Bash featuring live music from Ruby n Sue.

Ruby, a native New Yorker, began playing guitar when she was five years old. Her first influence was Chuck Berry. After years of listening to great legendary players such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ruby has developed a style of her own. You will hear a mixture of blues, rock, and rockabilly in her music.

Sue, a trapper’s daughter, was raised on the Crow Wing River in Northern Minnesota. Coming from a family of singers, Sue started singing in church at an early age. Some of Sue’s influences are Imelda May, Creedence Clearwater and the Eagles.

Not long ago Ruby and Sue crossed paths while playing in another band and, finding that their individual musical styles clicked, decided to form their own music duet. Ruby & Sue perform classic to current tunes from Aretha Franklin to Adele and more!

Live Music w/ The State Of

If you’ve been waiting to see The State Of at New Moon because there is always a next month, well, we are sad to say…there won’t be a next month. Nabedi is moving to Los Angeles and we want to send her off with a fantastic time at New Moon!

We love Steph & Nabedi and we know you do too! Call ‘em indie, call ‘em alternative, call ‘em pop, call ‘em some fantastic combination of all three ~ we just call The State Of damn fine music.

From their official bio: the State Of is the product of the marriage between Steph Taylor’s edgy piano/synth playing and Nabedi Osorio’s electronic-like live drumming. Their dark yet upbeat pop sensibility is born out of their hometown, Miami, FL.

As usual, NEVER A COVER
